Our territory
We own Halloween mahjong, supernatural table humor, invented fortunes, lucky little rituals, and witchy gifts or decorations. PartyMahj owns broad celebration planning. MahjongMystique owns serious symbolism and folklore research. NewToMahjong owns beginner rules.
Three labels, three promises
Playful invention means we made it up for the fun of the table. Editorial guidance means practical advice, not an official game rule. Sourced context means a factual or cultural claim supported by appropriate sources and qualified for uncertainty.
No borrowed ancient authority
Mahjong developed in nineteenth-century China and remains a living family of games. We do not dress new inventions as “ancient Chinese wisdom,” mix Asian traditions into decorative fog, or turn serious religious practices into party props.
The game still has rules
Costumes and theatrics do not change the governing rules. When a rule matters, use the authority for the named mahjong tradition. House practices should be stated as house practices.
Commerce stays labeled
Future seasonal products or affiliate links will be disclosed beside the recommendation. Recovery guidance will not sell to someone in a vulnerable moment.
